In the News: Camera phones Explosion !  | Nearly 150 million camera phones will be sold worldwide this year, with their users generating 29 billion pictures according to a study by InfoTrends Research Group. In the UK, camera phones have seen a 9 fold increase on the figures for the year before in terms of sales volume - excluding phones sold directly to customers by phone operators. | Pentax see the growth in camera phones as positive for the photo industry in terms of introducing new people to photography, while Kodak believe it will enable the company to provide a service for people to "share, print and do more with their pictures". The quality of camera phones are also improving every day, there are already new phones on the market with over 3 million pixels. The retail outlets are also catching up with more and more of them offering camera phone printing.
